Louisiana’s Accent Marketing is handing out 340 layoff notices after the loss of its major client, Boost Mobile…  Anheuser-Busch considers 263 employee layoffs as Belgian beer sales fall… An additional 116 employees have been cut from Pfizer‘s Pearl River facility workforce in Rockland County… Beginning in April, Queens-based restaurant supplier Cecilware Corp. will be letting go of 80 workers… Power transmission cable production company Alcan Cable is eliminating 33 positions from its Wilbur, Ore. location… 17 members of the United Steelworkers union have been laid off from Cascade Steel Rolling Mills on the west coast…

  1. This is a structural move by Sprint, which is moving away from 3rd party call centers as they hire for their own centers (which has greatly increased their customer service numbers). This should not be a surprise as Sprint had the worst customer service numbers in the industry and their 2 years new CEO said he was going to fix the issue. It is unfortunately, however, for the 341 employees without a job.

  2. It ended up putting well over 400 people in florida out of work as well. Accent lost sprint and screwed its employees majorly.
