I just read TBTF and also came away unsatisfied. Sorkin tears off a riveting narrative, but at the end you go 'wait - what just happened?' Maybe that's the point - the bankers themselves probably felt that way before the smoke cleared - or maybe that's the risk with any first-draft-of-history type book written within a year of the actual events. One conclusion: most of these guys aren't that smart, and they're almost all jerks. We biz journos know that but it's always good to be reminded. Good review.
