Get Back to $100,000 in 140 Seconds

By Sara Clemence ⋅ 11:24 am December 7, 2009 ⋅ Post a comment

money fallingFor many of us, one of the upsides of the recession is having the time to indulge in creative pursuits—like using the video camera you got last Christmas to film the dog sleeping. (I love it when they do that dream-chasing thing.)

Well, time to make all that time wasting creative experimentation pay off. Nikon is holding a contest for the best super-short video, 140 seconds to be exact. “Capture the essence of your day” in just over two minutes and you can win $100,000. And since you’ve learned to live so frugally in the recession, that will last, what, seven years? The audience favorite gets $25,000.

No, you don’t have to use a Nikon camera, but you do have to submit by Dec. 15. Get to it–seriously. We’ve checked out the competition, and you’re a shoo-in.
