If you’re expecting “recession lit,” a book about triumphing in difficult times, look elsewhere.
If you’re looking for a light, fun read about how rich people’s lives aren’t perfect, Wendy Walker’s new book, Social Lives, hits it. Walker details the dynamics in a group of very, very wealthy women living in a Connecticut town that sounds suspiciously like Greenwich. They own mansions and fly in private jets—and their husbands cheat, and their daughters get caught giving oral sex to random boys, and they have effed-up relationships with their dead parents. Like I said, fun!
We have two copies of Social Lives to give away to lucky readers. Get one entry each for signing up for our Twitter feed or newsletter by Monday, Nov. 30. If you’re already signed up, just RT this post.
Does being one of your very first RSS feed subscribers count? I don’t know how to Twitter and I don’t own a smartphone (it’s not very recession conscious), but I have been a loyal reader of Recessionwire since you began posting er..blogging.
