Win $1,000 for bills, $2,000 of Gear, or a Book (Yes, Last One’s From Us)

By Sara Clemence ⋅ 2:30 pm October 23, 2009 ⋅ One comment

money falling 150x150We wouldn’t advise counting on contests for income, but the way things are still going in the employment market, you might be more likely to benefit from a sweepstakes than a jobs site.

Has the downturn has turned you into a “Digital Nomad”? Nomadesk is giving away $2,000 worth of gear, including a Dell notebook and a Blackberry Bold, for the best 3-minute video about working on the road. (We think. The description is a little vague.)

Say you’d rather just sit on your sofa watching daytime TV. Well, Judge Pirro is doing a recession sweepstakes, giving away $1,000 each day. Watch that day’s episode and answer the online question correctly to be entered into the drawing.

And finally, we didn’t do a very good job of telling people about our most recent book giveaway. Win a copy of Heather Wagner’s witty new book, Happiness on $10 a Day, just by retweeting this post. Get a second entry by retweeting the excerpt, on how to get free entertainment through schadenfreude. We even have a handy new button to help—check out the top right. We’re very proud of our new baby button.
