Cabin Fever? Meet at the Apartment.

By Sara Clemence ⋅ 2:15 pm July 10, 2009 ⋅ One comment

the apartment meeting space new yorkEven with the sun finally shining, starting the week alone in the city can be a drag. On the first Monday of every month, Meet at the Apartment, an uber-stylish meeting space in Soho, is hosting a day of workshops and hanging out for consultants, freelancers and job hunters.

Throughout the day, there will be interviews with entrepreneurs on how they launched their businesses, and a lesson on networking from One of Those People Who Knows Everybody. They’re throwing in free wifi, coffee, snacks and office supplies. Please don’t embarrass us by walking out with your pockets stuffed full of Post-It pads.

The schedule for July 13 (bumped by the July 4 weekend):

10 a.m.: Allison Hemming, co-founder of the talent agency The Hired Guns and a Recessionwire pal, talks about The Art of Networking.

1p.m.: Sarah Endline, founder of Sweet Riot, on being an entrepreneur and building a sweet business.

3 p.m.: Marc Schiller, founder and C.E.O. of Electric Artists, interviews Noah Kalina of Everyday fame about creativity and photography.

4 p.m.: Q&A with Justin Quellette, founder of Muxtape, on his entrepreneurial journey.

Register at Eventbrite.
