Screwed: 494 at Deere & Co.

screws4Deere & Co. will “temporarily” lay off 494 at an Iowa plant, with more firings to come…the city of Sacramento sent layoff notices to 168 employees this week… Waukesha Engine in Wisconsin is cutting 113 employees at the end of this week…Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut will ax 80 staffers… the Alameda County Court system  will cut at least 70 jobs…Zebra Techologies in Illinois will lay off 64 in July…Steelmaker ArcelorMittal has reached a deal to temporarily let goof an unspecified number of workers in Spain.
