Unfortunately, there are more layoff announcements Tuesday. Banks that gave notice of layoffs right before the holiday weekend include Lloyds Banking Group plc (NYSE:LYG) and KeyCorp (NYSE:KEY).
There is good news for employees of BankUnited Financial Corp. According to Reuters, the bank has no plans for layoffs.
