Screwed: Another 3,000 at Microsoft

Microsoft is letting go of another 3,000 employees, nearly reaching its 5,000-job-layoff goal announced in January… Wells Fargo is laying off 548 employees in uptown Charlotte as it merges with Charlotte’s Wachovia locations… X-PAC, a supply chain service provider, has notified 275 employees of probable layoffs… In another round of layoffs, Caterpillar lets go of 141 employees for a period of at least six months… Milbank has laid off 89 employees, 49 associates and 40 staffers.
